Happy Halloween! Hi guys! I figured I'd upload this before Halloween tomorrow, because knowing me, I would totally forget to upload this weekend. Something to add: I remembered Comet's neck fur this time, it finally grew back after he shaved it off. (Jeez, it only took two minutes in comic time to grow back!) Another thing to add: Wow! 4 fans already! :D Do me a favor, be the 5th person to become a fan of Venus, and I'll upload a Pok├ęshaming comic.

Have a Happy Halloween! What are you dressing up as? I'm a minion.

Looks like poor Comet didn't get the friendly snorlax from Pokepark.
I'm dressing up like a vampire for Halloween. >:) Also, I just remembered that last year I was a fox, and back then I had no idea my Smackjeeves username would be Midnight-fox18. Funny coincidence.

@Midnight-fox18: A fox and a vampire. Cool! I've always wanted to dress up as an Eevee or Serena from Pokemon XY, but I'm afraid in this state hardly anyone would know what I am... Pokemon isn't very popular anymore at my age. I got into it a little late. Pokemon was mostly a 3rd grade thing. Holy guacamole, that was a fast comment! Guess you checked this comic just in time.

@espeon8812: Haha, yep, it was a fast comment! ;)
I have a few friends who still play pokemon. A few friends I know in person. Kind of surprising considering my grade level.

@Midnight-fox18: Well, I'm planning on dressing up as something Pokemon for next year... Who cares if nobody knows who I am. Oh yeah, does your costume actually fit you? Mine was way to wide around the waist, and the next size down only went down to the top of my legs, while the size I have goes down to about my knees. I finished sewing the sides two days ago, so it fits perfectly now.

@espeon8812: Mine actually fits pretty well. The sleeves seem really big, but I think the costume is meant to be that way.

@Midnight-fox18: Me and my friends are OBSESSED with Pokemon. And we're in 8th grade. Quite fittingly, Smogon is our favorite website.

@bluefiredragon: One of my friends is working on creating his competitive team. I still don't quite understand this IV and breeding stuff, but hey, at least I know more than when I was younger.
High fives for being in the same grade. ;)

@Midnight-fox18: Y U NO UNDERSTAND
IT'S SIMPLE!!!
Pokemon are naturally gifted random IVs at birth, ranging from 1-31 for each stat. These raise their stats, and to get thirty-one for a stat is VERY lucky. You can pass these IVs on with Power items, ex. Power Anklet for speed IVs, so your baby 'mon will get its parent's IVs.
The Pokemon are also granted a Nature, which will give a boost and a drop to random stats. I believe there is also a way to make Natures be passed on too, but I'm not sure.
EVs are gained from fighting different Pokemon, and each 'mon will give certain stat EVs when you fight them. You can also get these EVs from super Training, and my friends like to use Horde battling to get EVs faster.

-high fives the VERY dazed fox-

@bluefiredragon: I never said I didn't understand EVs and natures. In fact, you can pass down natures using an everstone. It's just the fact that I can't see IVs that gets me so confused. As for breeding, I meant competitive, complicated breeding, and passing a move down several times to get it to the right pokemon. And after that, you've got to get the right natures and IVs to the pokemon. It sounds simple, but in reality, it must be a long and frustrating process.
Though, I have been bored of late, maybe doing this competitive raising will give me something to do.

Btw, I'm a vulpix, not a fox. It's just like how you're a mega charizard x, not a dragon.

Reply bluefiredragon, November 1st, 2015, 9:32 pm

@Midnight-fox18: But I AM a dragon. Come on, the antromorphic animals of busy world of richard scarry said I could be anyone!

Dammit, no one will remember that show anymore...

I AM A DRAGON BWARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Reply Midnight-fox18, November 1st, 2015, 9:46 pm

@bluefiredragon: You're a dragon type, not a dragon. >:D Well, I have seen cat loaves... DANGIT NOW MY POINT IS INVALID! *logic of my universe starts falling apart*

Reply espeon8812, November 2nd, 2015, 11:12 pm

What just happened... The comments blew up overnight... Why are we talking about competitive breeding when you can just leave that to Brock...

Oh yeah, ummmmmmm what the heck is a cat loaf?

Reply Midnight-fox18, November 2nd, 2015, 11:20 pm

@espeon8812: B-but, Brock is too busy trying to get a girlfriend! Also, I think this breeding talk started as soon as Smogon was mentioned.
Look up 'cat loaf' on the internet. There are tons of funny pictures about when cats have their legs tucked beneath them. That's when the cats look like a legless loaf. X3

Reply espeon8812, November 3rd, 2015, 2:39 pm

@Midnight-fox18: Cat loaves are pretty funny, and yes, Brock is too busy with Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy to breed as much as he should be. Thank Arceus for Croagunk. Croagunk reminds him of what's REALLY important in life with a nice poison jab. And so does Misty with the ear pulling.

P.S. I don't think your universe ever had any logic. :P

@espeon8812: My universe used to have logic, but then I started middle school.

Reply espeon8812, November 3rd, 2015, 9:06 pm

@Midnight-fox18: When middle school gives you a map of the campus on orientation day, they should really put a warning on that map that says, "WARNING: YOU ARE ABOUT TO START MIDDLE SCHOOL. BE PREPARED FOR MAJOR BRAIN DETERIORATION."
